As the Skool platform grows, the creator's position begins to evolve. The majority of exchanges in the early phases are direct. You reply to postings, moderate discussions, and oversee the overall flow of the community. This works while there are a limited number of members, but as the platform grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain that level of participation on your own.

Administrators and moderators play an important role here. Their role is not solely to lessen your workload. Its purpose is to ensure that the community experience remains high quality and consistent as it increases. Without adequate support, even a strong platform might become disorganised or lose its sense of direction.

The first step is understanding the difference between administrators and moderators. Another important aspect is empowering your team without losing control of the overall direction. Administrators and moderators should feel confident in taking action when needed, but there should also be a shared understanding of boundaries. This balance allows the community to function effectively without becoming fragmented.

Recognising and supporting your administrators and moderators can also improve their effectiveness. These roles require time and effort, and acknowledging their contributions helps maintain motivation. This does not always need to be financial. Recognition, appreciation, and inclusion in decision making can be just as meaningful.

As your platform continues to grow, the presence of a strong support team allows you to focus on higher level decisions and long-term strategy. Instead of being involved in every interaction, you can step back and guide the overall direction while trusting that the day-to-day experience is being maintained.
